Parks Reservations

Seasonal reservations are available for picnic shelters, sports fields and special-use events.

Online Reservations

We have a new reservation system. Reserve a sports field or picnic shelter at a Gresham park online with CommunityPass.

Get started

Log in or create an account to get started. To register, visit CommunityPass.

Make a reservation

Once logged in, click “Make a Reservation” and choose either Picnic Shelter or Sports Field. 

  • Account: Confirm your account details.
  • Permit: Select the shelter or field you want to reserve. Read the policies and agreements. By acknowledging parks policies, the City is permitting you to use the park facility at the time and date you’ve selected.
  • Fees and Payment: Choose your payment method and continue.

Find a park facility

  1. At the top of the screen in the gray menu bar, select "Facilities.”
  2. Select “All Facilities” from the drop-down menu to view a list of Gresham parks.
  3. Choose a park.
  4. On the park’s page, you’ll see a description, amenities, and available "zones" (sports fields or shelters). Click the calendar icon to check availability.
  5. To make a reservation, click the “Reserve Now” button.
  6. Making a Reservation. Note: You will need to select the park again to confirm your reservation.

Picnic Shelters

Seasonal reservations 

  • Reservation season: May 1 – Sept. 30. 
  • First-come, first-served: Oct. 1 – April 30 

Reservation sessions 

  • Morning session: 9:00 am – 2:30 pm 
  • Afternoon session: 3:30 pm – 9:00 pm 
  • The entire day: Make two reservations, one for each time block. 

Fees

  • Resident: $30 per session
  • Non-resident: $60 per session 

Available picnic shelters 

Maximum capacity of 100 people per shelter:

Maximum capacity of 25 people per shelter: Hogan Butte Nature Park: 757 Gabbert Road 

Maximum capacity of 50 people per shelter: Nadaka Nature Park: 17615 NE Glisan St.  

Sports Fields

Sports fields can be reserved for baseball, softball, soccer, futsal and cricket games. 

Registration 

If this is your first time reserving a sports field, contact us to register your team before making your reservation. Contact us by email at ParkReservations@GreshamOregon.gov or call 503-618-2300.

Teams are required to carry their own insurance. 

Seasonal reservations 

We begin taking reservations for each season in mid-January. 

  • Reservation season: April 1 - Oct. 31, 8:00 am-10:00 pm 
  • First-come, first-served: Nov. 1 - March 31

Fees

Resident pricing is charged if 2/3 of the team is made up of Gresham residents. 

  • Resident
    • Youth team rate: $7 per hour
    • Adult team rate: $12 per hour
  • Non-resident
    • Youth team rate: $14 per hour
    • Adult team rate: $18 per hour
  • Tournaments (Charged for sporting events that require teams to register to play in.) 
    • $18 per hour regardless of age or field. 
    • Non-irrigated fields at Vance Park and John Deere Park have different prices. 
  • Cricket
    • $18 per hour regardless of age. 

Refunds and cancellations 

  • There are no refunds due to weather unless the City closes the field.
  • Refunds are not accepted after the date of play has passed for any reason.
  • The City does not offer cash or credit card refunds. Refunds remain as a balance in the customer's account that never expires.

Sports fields available to rent
Special Events

Special events held in a City park or on City-owned property require an approved application and City permit. A special event application is required if your event includes any of the following: 

  • 100 or more attendees 
  • Amplified sound 
  • Catering 
  • Fundraising, concerts, athletic races, or events   
  • Tents or staging  
  • Street closure  
  • Alcoholic beverages

Planning an event? 

Apply a minimum of 30 days before the event. Larger events may require more notice. 

Fees

  • Special event application: $35
    • This fee is non-refundable.
  • Park reservation fee  for a half day: $30
    • Morning session: 9:00 am - 2:30 pm
    • Afternoon session: 3:30 pm - 9:00 pm
  • Park reservation fee for a full day: $60
