My Gresham Guidelines

My Gresham service requests and comments are intended to improve issues noted around the Gresham community, while providing a transparent and open communication avenue. 

Guidelines help keep the discourse respectful and productive. Language that falls outside of these guidelines may be removed from public view. 

Service request and comment guidelines

  1. Service requests and comments should not contain abusive or vulgar language, sexually explicit subject matter, hate speech, derogatory terms or offensive content.
  2. Service requests and comments should relate to the request type and not contain:
    • Spam, advertising, or solicitations 
    • Products or political organizations 
    • Infringe on copyrights, trademarks or intellectual property rights of others, or
    • Advocate illegal activity or violence
  3. Service requests and comments should not contain personal or defamatory remarks about a person's age, education, ethnicity, race, family status, gender, national origin, class, physical ability or qualities, religion, sexual orientation, thought processes, or personality.
  4. A service request or comment is the opinion of the poster only and does not imply endorsement or agreement by the City of Gresham, its elected officials or employees.
  5. Service requests and comments should not endorse candidates or a particular stance on current ballot measures.
  6. By submitting service requests or comments, you agree not to misrepresent your identity or affiliation or post libelous/defamatory content.
  7. The City reserves the right to determine what language is unacceptable for this service, and citizens who repeatedly violate this policy may be “muted.”
  8. Service requests and comments are subject to Public Records law. Comments will be archived.
  9. Submission of a comment constitutes acceptance of this policy, which may be revised at any time.

Submissions are hidden that are inappropriate/objectionable. 

Complaints and alerts from users about submissions will be reviewed for content violations. If reported service requests or comments are found to be objectionable or inappropriate, they will be hidden by My Gresham's administrator.
