About the advisory group
The Parks and Recreation Community Advisory Group brought together a diverse group of community members to evaluate Gresham’s parks and recreation services and recommend strategies to improve community outcomes.
- Review community feedback and prioritize park projects for construction in the next few years.
- Make recommendations for upcoming recreation program development.
- Foster collaboration among diverse community interests.
Summary report
The advisory group presented its summary report to Council on Dec. 13, 2022, including identifying core values, inventorying existing recreation assets and exploring partnerships. The group also identified priorities for additional parks and recreation investments and advised on priorities for the City's share of the Metro Parks and Nature bond. Council expressed appreciation for the work, interest in continuing the inventory work and support for establishing a smaller task force to implement these recommendations.
