Rights and responsibilities of tenants and landlords

Rental property owners must present tenants with the rights and responsibilities of tenants and landlords document upon lease signing. Both the property owner/designee and the tenant must sign the document. Property owners must keep a copy of the document and present it to rental housing inspection staff at the time of inspection or when requested. Failure to provide the City with a signed copy of the form constitutes a rental housing code violation.
