Recycle at School

  • The Schools Sustainability team provides outreach to public and private schools in Gresham.  In addition to helping schools meet mandatory recycling requirements, the City helps provide:

    • Onsite assistance to help reduce waste, conserve water and energy.
    • Resources to help administrators, custodians, teachers,  students and parents implement student green teams at school. 
    • School sustainability best practices. 
    • Cafeteria and kitchen food donations and composting 

    Join Oregon Green Schools 

    • A framework for schools to implement waste reduction and resource efficiency programs.
    • Celebrates the student role implementing change in the school community.
    • Brings green teams from across the state together to share information and ideas at the annual Oregon Green Schools Summit.
