  • Mayor Shane Bemis

    Shane BemisShane T. Bemis is Gresham's 26th Mayor, first sworn into office in January of 2007. At the age of 34, Bemis became the youngest serving Mayor in Gresham's history. Now in his fourth term, Bemis remains focused on progress in economic development, community safety and livability, and is focused on making Gresham a thriving environment for children and families.

    Council Position 1 - Jerry W. Hinton

    Jerry W. HintonCouncilor Jerry Hinton was elected to Council Position 1 in November 2012 and sworn into office on Jan. 8, 2013. He was re-elected and sworn into office for a second term on January 3, 2017.

    Council Position 2 - Eddy Morales

    Council Position 3 - Karylinn Echols

    Karylinn EcholsKarylinn Echols was re-elected to the Gresham City Council in the November 2016 election and was sworn into a four-year term on January 3, 2017.

    Council Position 4 - Mario Palmero

    Mario PalmeroCouncilor Mario Palmero was appointed by Council to this open seat on Dec. 18, 2012, and was elected to his second four-year term Nov. 7, 2018. He was sworn into office on Jan. 8, 2019.

    Council Position 5 - David Widmark

    David WidmarkCouncilor David Widmark was elected to serve in Gresham City Council position 5 in November 2016 and was sworn into office on January 3, 2017.

    Council Position 6 - Janine Gladfelter

    Janine GladfelterCouncilor Janine Gladfelter was appointed by Council to this vacant seat on Jan. 24, 2017, and was elected to the position Nov. 7, 2018. Her current four-year term runs through Dec. 31, 2022.
