Fire Cadets

  • Gresham Fire Cadet application

The Gresham Fire Cadet program provides opportunity for motivated young men and women to develop leadership, teamwork and responsibility skills while exploring the firefighting profession.

Many former cadets are now career firefighters or respond with volunteer fire agencies.

After submitting an application prospective cadets will be contacted by email prior to our next First Nighter. During that event, applicants will be interviewed by a panel of their peers and will participate in a physical abilities test.

Prior to final acceptance into the program a background check will be performed and proof of a GPA of 2.5 or higher must be submitted.

Because of the amount of training required, the program accepts new members only once a year, usually in January. Applications are accepted year-round.
