Building Permits and Inspections
A permit is needed to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, convert or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system.
When you obtain a permit, a certified inspector ensures the work is done safely and to code.
In-person building services
Building permit services are available at Gresham City Hall Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm.
Inspections
Inspections are performed daily between 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. Submit your request before midnight for a next-day inspection.
Plan review
For projects that require plan review, plans will be submitted directly through the online permit application system (see link above). If you have questions about plan review, call 503-618-2845 to speak with a submissions coordinator.
