Get rid of household hazardous waste safely year-round. Common products, such as cleaners, pesticides, batteries, and medical sharps, can harm people, pets and the environment. Never throw them in the trash or pour them down the drain.

Gresham Sanitary Service
Gresham Sanitary Service is available for local medical sharps drop-off. Disposal is offered at City-established rates.

- Larger quantities or to drop off medical waste: Call 503-665-2424 to schedule an appointment.
Metro
- Metro transfer stations take sharps containers at no cost. Visit Metro and find a recycler
- Neighborhood collection events take sharps containers at no cost. Find a collection event or call Metro at 503-234-3000.
The Oregon Drug Take Back Program offers free medication drop-off at participating sites. Find a drop-off location or call 844-482-5322.
Curbside residential customers can place motor oil in a clear one-gallon jug with a screw-on lid and put it next to the glass bin. Do not mix the oil with other chemicals or fluids.
