Garbage and Recycling

Service alerts

During extreme heat, haulers may collect trash and recycling two hours earlier than normal. Place your carts at the curb the night before. Contact your hauler for schedule updates.

 Collection is prioritized as follows

  1. Garbage
  2. Recycling
  3. Yard debris
If pick-up is missed
  • Missed garbage and recycling will be collected the following week at no additional cost. Contact your hauler for collection schedule changes.
  • Place bagged extra garbage at the curb. Bags should be limited to your normal weekly volume of garbage.
  • Place extra recycling next to your recycling cart. Extra recycling should be placed in a cardboard box or paper bag – no plastic bags.
Power Outages

Report a power outage

Visit the PGE website for more information.

Trees

If you see a damaged or fallen tree

  • Call PGE if a limb or fallen tree is on a power line: 1-800-542-8818.
  • Call 911 if the tree is blocking a road. City crews will clear the roadway.
  • Do not drive under downed trees or remove barricades if a road is closed.
  • Property owners are responsible for street trees behind the curb. Please clear the sidewalk next to your property and remove all debris.
  • Does your street tree need to be replaced? Read more about planting new trees.
