Industrial Pretreatment Program
The City of Gresham's Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP) provides technical assistance and guidance to industrial users to stay in compliance with federal, state, and local pretreatment regulations.
Program goals
- Ensure the health and safety of the public, City personnel and the environment.
- Provide source control to prevent pollutants from entering the wastewater treatment system.
- Ensure the City’s wastewater treatment plant can process the waste per our National Pollutant Discharge Elimination (NPDES) permit.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to industrial users regarding compliance with state and federal pretreatment regulations
- Ensure industrial users maintain compliance with their Industrial Waste Discharge Permit
Permitting process
Complete an Industrial User survey to determine if a permit is required before discharging industrial or non-domestic waste to the City’s sewage collection system.
