Green and Clean

    Be a part of Gresham's annual Green and Clean event; a day of service where we come together to promote community pride and celebrate our parks and trails.

    This is the kickoff to National Youth Violence Prevention Week. This year, we'll focus on cleaning up trails for the Gresham Lilac Run. The cleanup will include:

    • Springwater Trail
    • Gresham Saddle Butte Trail
    • Butler Creek Trail

    Parking is available at Main City Park; we recommend carpooling if possible. Meet at the Main City Park entrance of the Springwater Corridor. We will provide all the required tools.

    Activities

    • Trash pickup along trails.
    • Fill potholes along primitive trails with dirt/gravel.
    • Cut back vegetation.
    • Remove fallen branches debris and blackberry off to side.

    Gresham's day of service

    • GALLERY Green and Clean trails cleanup along the Springwater
    • Runners and walkers travel the Gresham Butte Saddle Trail during the City of Gresham Lilac Run.

    • Help us beautify the City's trails on Saturday, April 15, ahead of the Gresham Lilac Run. We'll be out on the Springwater Trail (pictured), Gresham Saddle Butte Trail and Butler Creek Trail.

    • Join us this year refreshing the City's beautiful trails ahead of the Gresham Lilac Run for all to enjoy. We'll be out on the Gresham Saddle Butte Trail (pictured), Springwater Trail and Butler Creek Trail.

    • Helping hands give the Hartley Elementary School grounds a much-needed makeover.

    • Kids are encouraged to come have fun making a difference in a day. 

    • Nearly 200 community volunteers spread out to beautify Main City Park in 2018.

    • Volunteers of all ages came together with staff from the City and Highland Elementary School. The work party planted and weeded, laid bark dust on the playground, and created new garden beds.

    • It was a busy and beautiful day planting, weeding and refreshing Nadaka Nature Park and Trail.

    • Invasive blackberries are no match for the Green and Clean volunteer crew of 2015.
