Inspectors are available by telephone from 8 to 8:30 a.m. and from 3:30 to 4 p.m. each day to answer your questions and take special inspection instructions.
Inspections are performed between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily. If you place your request prior to 6:30 a.m. that day, we will make every attempt to do a same-day inspection. Otherwise, it will be done the following business day.
If you cancel an inspection before 6:30 a.m. on the day of the scheduled inspection, you may use the Automated Inspection Request Line or the online system. If you are canceling after 6:30 a.m. on the day of the scheduled inspection, you will need to call the main office number, 503-618-2845.
The City offers two options for scheduling, canceling and reviewing the status of building inspections: online or via the phone.

- Schedule an inspection
- Cancel an inspection
- Obtain inspection results

- Schedule an inspection - press 1
- Cancel an inspection - press 2
- Hear inspection results - press 3
