Gresham is home to birds and butterflies, bats, tree frogs, rare turtles and flying squirrels. Your yard can be a valuable habitat for these animals.
The City, in partnership with Audubon Society of Portland and Columbia Land Trust, offers the Backyard Certification Program to homes, schools, public institutions and businesses.
The service includes a visit from an East County expert, who will identify invasive weeds, suggest beneficial native plants, and other outdoor features that attract and support wildlife.
