    Middle school and high school youth can attend free basketball practice, skill building and game play on Friday and Saturday nights in Gresham.

    Kids can play in two fountains – one designed for toddlers, one for bigger kids – that are powered by jets of cool, clean, chlorinated water.

    Open Play Outdoor Futsal

    Mondays and Wednesdays
    Time: 4:30-7:30 pm
    Vance Park, 1400 SE 182nd Ave.


    4:30-6:00 pm for youth grades 6-12
    6:00-7:30 pm for adults

    Middle and high school youth and adults may attend Open Play Outdoor Futsal at the Vance Park futsal courts. Play futsal for free, make new friends and win raffle items each time you play. Sponsored by the City of Gresham. Contact or; 503-618-2213.

    Youth Sunday Futsal program

    Boys and girls in grades 6-12 can drop in for free indoor Sunday Futsal game play from 5:00-7:00 pm year-round at the Friends of the Children gym. Supervision provided.

    Main City Skatepark

    The City maintains a 5,710-square-foot skate plaza at Main City Park in historic downtown, 219 S. Main Ave.

    • 6:00 am - 8:00 pm Oct. 1 to March 31
    • 5:00 am - 10:00 pm April 1 to Sept. 30
    • Slow skate: 9:00 - 11:00 am on weekends and holidays (for skaters under 10 years)

    Summer Kids in the Park (SKIP)

    The City, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland, hosts Summer Kids in the Park, a free, 10-week summer recreation program for youth 18 and younger Monday-Friday in three parks. 

    A nutritious sack lunch is served through the U.S. Department of Agriculture's summer lunch program.
