    Skills for the job

    • Enjoy working outdoors; duties take place in varying and sometimes extreme weather
    • Operate heavy equipment and power tools
    • Understand and follow oral and written instructions
    • Perform heavy manual work under confined and uncomfortable conditions
    • Perform math calculations
    • Communicate effectively with the public
    • Respond to emergencies on a 24-hour basis
    • Regularly lift objects and equipment weighing 25-100 pounds
    • Some positions require a Class A commercial driver's license

    Education

    A high school diploma or GED
