Gresham Mayor Shane Bemis to deliver annual State of the City address

Gresham Mayor Shane T. Bemis will deliver his annual State of the City Address on Thursday, March 15.

The program begins at 11:30 am at the Gresham Armory, 544 NE Division Street, and is delivered to an audience of City Councilors, community and neighborhood leaders, and residents. Attendees have the option of purchasing a plated lunch through the event co-host, the Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce, or enjoying complimentary refreshments in the additional free seats.

We look forward to hearing the powerful vision the Mayor will provide for the community that we all love," said Stacye Blume, Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce Board President.

In this year's speech, Bemis will highlight the inventive ways City leaders are tackling priorities such as public safety, homelessness, parks and fire and emergency services. Other key themes include a review of the complete revamp of the Office of Neighborhoods, a new approach to code enforcement services, and rebuilding the worst of the worst streets within Gresham.

"The State of the City is a unique moment when the community comes together to collectively celebrate our achievements over the past year, as well as to reflect on how we can seize opportunities and grow into an even better city in the years to come," Bemis said.
