Volunteer for the City’s amphibian survey. This regional effort helps us learn more about amphibians and their habitats for future conservation efforts.

No survey experience is required; we’ll teach you. Join staff for a virtual amphibian survey training and learn:

  • How to identify an egg mass of Pacific chorus and red-legged frogs.
  • How to identify Northwestern and long-toed salamanders.
  • Survey techniques.
  • Field methods and safety.

Most survey sites are shallow. This volunteer activity is open to adults and children age 10 and older.  COVID safety measures will be followed.

The online training is followed by a field training and equipment pick-up at Kelly Creek on Jan. 29. All equipment will be provided.

Register for the online training.
