    As neighbors, we want to see positive impacts in the community we live in. I chose a career that allows me to share my technical training to provide tools for community members to be part of creating the community they want to see.

    What do you enjoy about working at the City of Gresham?

    I appreciate the supportive work and life balance environment at the City. I’m honored to have the opportunity to give back to the community I grew up in.

    What do you do, in a nutshell?

    I manage urban renewal redevelopment projects for Gresham.

    What's your best advice to someone entering the field?

    Be nimble. Be open to trying different career opportunities. You might find a path you least expected.

    What are three qualities that help you excel at your job?

    Listening, collaborating and being responsive.

    What was your career path?

    A bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture.

    What is the most valuable skill you learned in school that you use on the job?

    Problem solving, because each situation has a unique approach and solution.

    What was your first job?

    Working in horse stables.
