    A community in Canada stole our Guinness World Record for the largest display of chalk pavement art, set by Gresham in 2015. Now, we’re coming together to “Reclaim the Chalk of Fame” in an epic day of chalk art that’s free fun for the whole family.

    Event details

    Participation in the Chalk of Fame event is free of charge and open to everyone.
    • Each of the 500 5 x 5-foot Gresham-inspired chalk drawings will be sketched out in advance by local artists.
    • Each square takes an estimated 15 minutes to color in by two adults.
    • Rain or shine? Shine only.
    • Did you know? Gresham's 2015 record of 412 chalk drawings was broken by the City of Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada, in July 2016, with 423 drawings.
