Rockwood in Motion

The Gresham Redevelopment Commission (GRDC) has completed several projects which benefit residents and businesses in Central Rockwood.

• Rockwood/E 188th Avenue MAX Station 
• Catalyst Site Interim Uses 
• Burnside Boulevard Improvements 
• 188th/187th Avenue Realignment 
• SE Stark Boulevard Phase II 

Together, these Rockwood in Motion projects improve the appearance of Rockwood, make access to the MAX light rail safe and pleasant, and will jump-start investment in the Rockwood Triangle.

Defining the Rockwood Town Center

All improvements were designed to reinforce the sense of Rockwood as a special place, with an emphasis on attractive landscaping, distinctive urban design in the public right-of-way, and making the most of prominent “gateway” locations like the corner of Burnside and Stark.
