Cell Phone Recycling

Old cell phones will be collected as a fundraiser for Oregon Green Schools. phone

Rules

  • Cell phones may be working or not.
  • Donors with T-Mobile, AT&T or Singular may remove the SIM card from the phone, which removes the phone numbers stored in the phone. Others may do a manual reset to erase all numbers. Neither is required.
  • Forty percent of the phones are recycled through a shredding, smelting and metals refining process. The other 60% (of reusable phones) are reprogrammed.
