Corridor Districts Review
Update: There are no activities currently planned for this project. If you have questions, please contact Jamie Zimmerman at 503-618-2235 or Jamie.Zimmerman@GreshamOregon.gov.
This Council Work Plan project is the first major review of corridor land-use districts since 1999. It examines how the districts are developing and how to ensure development is compatible with surrounding land uses. It also evaluates methods to improve the formula that allows mixed-use development. The project will:
- Review and assess the 1999 Corridors Project
- Assess the role of corridors
- Determine the redevelopment potential in corridor districts
- Determine if there are barriers to achieving high-quality development
- Measure the density at which residential construction has occurred since 1999
- Determine if the formula for mixed-use developments is resulting in an appropriate mix of uses
- Assess how compatible corridor uses are with adjacent land uses
- Determine if additional standards related to sustainable development and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) may be incorporated into the corridor districts
Community Forum
A community forum was held on Sept. 2, 2009 that provided an opportunity for property owners and interested parties to discuss issues and ask questions. The Visual Preference Survey is also summarized in this Public Input Summary.
