What's going on
May Awareness Topic: Volcanoes and Avalanches
The local peaks of the Cascade Mountain Range are part of the "ring of fire," a ring of volcanic mountains around the Pacific Ocean. Cascade volcanoes have erupted in the recent past and will likely erupt again. Avalanches are another potential hazard in these mountains.
