Great Young Citizen Program
The City formally adopted the Great Young Citizen program in 1995. The program recognizes exemplary scholarship, citizenship and service to the community with an award presented in a ceremony at a Gresham City Council meeting.
Award winners are chosen based on their ability to maintain good grades, demonstrate a positive attitude and be involved in their community.
The City is proud to honor these young people for their generous commitment to others and for the fine example they set.
On Feb. 2 Reynolds High School student Cole Bronson was honored as a Great Young Citizen of Gresham.
Cole has demonstrated his dedication to the community by volunteering in a number of leadership roles, including Relay for Life, Police Activities League and Special Olympics. He participates in several honors-level classes at Reynolds, where he holds a 3.52 GPA.
Cole intends to obtain a four-year degree in business and use his skills and experience to start a non-profit organization of his own.
