Utility Rates

FlushingRate adjustments support quality services

The most recent utility rate adjustment is effective July 1, 2015 and results in an increase to typical residential utility bills of approximately $4.92 every two months. In 2015 Council passed a three-year utility rate schedule, with the first increase effective July 1.

Utility Rate Adjustment – July 1, 2015

Stormwater:  2.5%

Wastewater:  4.5%

Water:  3%

Utility rates fund the cost of operating and maintaining the City's critical water, stormwater and wastewater infrastructure systems and the future replacement of those systems, and are the primary revenue source for providing these utility services. Adjustments to these stormwater, wastewater and water utility rates are guided by annual utility finance plans and approved by City Council.

The City's goal is to find a balance that leads to long-term sustainability of quality services as well as competitive, affordable rates for our customers, both now and into the future.
