    How to file your police report

    Confirm the following:

    • This is not an emergency.
    • This incident occurred within the Gresham city limits
    • There are no known suspects (when you know the person who committed the crime, where to find them or the license plate number of the vehicle the suspect used).

    You can file your report online if you answered yes to all of the above. 

    If you answered no to any of the statements above, call non-emergency dispatch at 503-823-3333.

    After completing the online form, you will:

    • Be given a police report case number.
    • Be able to print the report for your records.

    Additional information on filing a police report

    • Filing a false police report is a crime.
    • All cases filed using this online reporting system will be reviewed.
    • If further investigation is needed, you may be contacted.
    • If a crime took place outside of Gresham, contact the police department for that city.
    • If the crime took place within Multnomah County, call 503-823-3333.  
    • If the incident took place on a state freeway,call the Oregon State Police office nearest you.
    • For incidents excluded from any of the above descriptions, call non-emergency dispatch at 503-823-3333. Press 3 for incidents that occurred in Gresham, then 5 to report your incident.
