Our Parks, Our FuturePicnic at the Plaza

A Community Conversation

People love their parks. But as Gresham grows, our parks system is sliding backwards. Grass grows taller. Tired playground equipment is retired but not replaced. And there's no funding to meet the growing demand for developed parks, trails, and open spaces.

How can we make Gresham's parks system sustainable?Bridge in Gresham Park

It's a critical question – one we hope to begin answering through a grassroots outreach campaign: Our Parks, Our Future.

The Needs Are Clear

The parks, recreation, trails, and natural area master plan spells out $292 million worth of needs – from aging bridges to vacant land waiting to be turned into neighborhood parks.

The City has convened a Green Ribbon Task Force to study and make recommendations on the issue.
