• Pet waste may contain harmful bacteria, including Giardia, E. Coli, Salmonella and Campylobacter.
• Dog waste left on the ground eventually finds its way into our creeks and streams and possibly into groundwater (a potential drinking water
• source in Gresham).
• Always picking up your pet’s waste at the park and in open spaces then dispose in the trash or toilet.
• Avoiding children’s play areas at the park with your pet.

Doggie Doo? Doggie Don’t! Program

• These boxes in Gresham parks hold plastic bags for pet waste scooping.
• “Forgetting to bring a bag” is the number one reason why pet owners do not scoop.
• “Doggie Doo, Doggie Don’t” boxes are stocked by park users.
• Bring extra bags and leave them for others.
