Starting a New Business

Our key role is to make resources available to businesses in our community. We provide information that will give Gresham companies an edge in today’s competitive business climate.

We partner with Mt. Hood Community College's Small Business Development Center and the Oregon Secretary of State to help you focus on what matters most during the planning and preparation phase of starting a new business. We have the resources to help you get started.

Business Licenses 

Business licenses are required for any individual, partnership, corporation or sole proprietor business conducted within the City of Gresham. For Business licensing questions contact Carrie.McKowen@GreshamOregon.gov, 503-618-2370.

GIS Maps and Data: determine if your business location or the location being considered is within the city limits, what the land use designation is for that property, and what permitted uses are for the site.
